Official Rules

Entrants, by participating, agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules, the Amazon.com Services LLC Privacy Notice located at www.amazon.com/privacy, and by our and the judges’ decisions, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to the Amp Atlanta Homecoming Competition(“Competition”).

ELIGIBILITY

Open to individualswho(1) are at least 18years of age or at least the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence; and (2) are a legal resident of the United States or the District of Columbiacurrently residing in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area (collectively, each, a “Participant”). Competitionis void outside of the United States and where prohibited. Participants may not be members of any guild, union or other organization that may prohibit them from participating in this Competitionand that would restrict, require due payment or otherwise have the right to oppose such participant’s participation in this Competition. Directors, officers, employees, interns, and contractors (“Personnel”) of Amazon Media Venture LLC(“Sponsor, “we,” or “us”), their parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective advertising, promotion and public relations agencies, representatives, and agents (collectively, “CompetitionEntities”), immediate families members of such Personnel (parents, siblings, children, spouses, and life partners of each) and members of the households of such Personnel (whether related or not) are ineligible to participate in this Competition.Participants may participate in the Competitionby themselves or participate as a “Team” consisting of up to two (2) Participants. Each Participant is only permitted to be part of one (1) Team. If a Participant elects to participate on their own they cannot also participate with a Team. Any Participantthat is part of more than one (1) Team may be disqualified and his/her corresponding Teams may be disqualified as well at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Only one (1) member of the Team may post anEntryon behalf of a Team but all those listed on the application will be deemed Participants. All prizes will be split evenly among the members of a winning Team, as identified on the online application. Additionally, all winning Team members will split any and all tax obligations and withholdings that may be applicable dependent on the value of the prize awarded to each Team member. Each winning Team member will be solely responsible for tax obligations and withholdings solely related to the portion of the prize they receive. Each Participant must be eligible to participate in this Competitionand comply with these Official Rules or the Participant will and the Team associated with any Participant in question may be disqualified. This Competitionis subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. By participating in the Competition, all Participants unconditionally accept and agree to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor which will be final and binding including the Sponsor’s right to verify eligibility, to interpret these Official Rules, and to resolve any disputes relating to this Competitionat any time. Only Participants or Team members may work on their Entry, without the influence of any other individuals.The Competitionand these Official Rules are void where prohibited by law, and are subject to applicable laws. Our employees, parents, affiliates and subsidiaries, and participating advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers/funding entities, and members of their immediate family (spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or those living in their household, whether or not related) are not eligible. This Competitionis a skill-based Competition, and as such, the winners will not be selected randomly, but on the basis of objective judging criteria (as set forth below). PARTICIPATION EXPENSES (IF ANY) WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and unfettered discretion to disqualify at any time any Entrycontaining obscene, offensive, pornographic or sexually explicit material, or libelous, disparaging, infringing or other inappropriate content or subject matter (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion). COMPETITION PERIOD

The Competitionbegins at 8:00:00 A.M. Eastern Time (“ET”) on October 21, 2022and ends at 11:59:59 P.M. (ET) on November 17, 2022(“CompetitionPeriod”). The Competition Period will consist of the following four (4) entry periods (each, an “Entry Period”);

  • Entry Period 1: Begins 8:00:00 A.M. ETon October 21, 2022and ends 11:59:59 P.M. (ET) on October 27, 2022.
  • Entry Period 2: Begins 8:00:00 A.M. ETon October 28, 2022and ends 11:59:59 P.M. (ET) on November 3, 2022.
  • Entry Period 3: Begins 8:00:00 A.M. ETon November 4, 2022and ends 11:59:59 P.M. (ET) on November 10, 2022.
  • Entry Period 4: Begins 8:00:00 A.M. ETon November 11, 2022and ends 11:59:59 P.M. (ET) on November 17, 2022.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, during anEntryPeriod, Participants/Teams may log-in to Amp app (the “App”)using amobile device, or navigate to the iOS* app store where theycan download and install the App, available for download on iPhone* mobile devices. Participants must follow the instructions to create an App account(if they have not done so already).Then, Participants/Teams can follow the instructions to create and host a radio show 45 minutesor longer and include the hashtags #AUCAmp and #promotion in the show title when posting the show to enter the Competition for the applicable Entry Period (each, an “Entry”).Entriesthat do not meet the requirements set forth in these Official Rules may be disqualified in our sole discretion. All Entriesthat violate any intellectual property, local, state, or federal laws, or violate any terms referenced herein, will be deemed ineligible. Entriesmust be received no later than the dates and times specified above for each Entry Period to be considered. Sponsor’s (or its contractor’s) servers and clock shall be deemed the official clock for all phases of the Competition, and your proof of anEntrydoes not constitute proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for (i) lost, misdirected, late, incomplete, or unintelligible Entriesor for inaccurate Entryinformation, whether caused by you or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Competition, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing ofEntries; or (ii) any printing, production, human or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Competition.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

All Entriesmust be the original creations of the participants, and by submitting anEntry, each participant grants to Sponsor the worldwide, transferable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display the Entrythroughout the world in any media (whether now known or hereafter devised). Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless CompetitionEntities, and any entity involved in any aspect of the Competition(including funding, judging, provision of awards or administration), and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, contractors, advisors, and advertising/promotion agencies, and each of the foregoing entity’s respective officers, members, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, representatives and associates, for any action or claim brought by a person whose consent participant did not obtain. Without limiting any other grant contemplated in these Official Rules, along with the participant’s name, business and/or likeness may be posted on any website owned and/or operated by Sponsor or any of its affiliates (“Sponsor Site”), Sponsor’s pages on any social media websites, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Tumblr, and any other website or other online point of presence through which any products or services available on or through the Sponsor Site are described, syndicated, offered, merchandised, or advertised, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor is collecting personal information primarily to process the Entriesand to contact you if necessary, but also to potentially contact you for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, you will be provided with a method to opt-out from future communications. You may update or change your “E-mail Preferences & Notifications” in your Amazon.com account at www.amazon.com/youraccount.Sponsor will share your information with third parties that have a need to know, such as the judging panels, and by participating, you agree to the sharing of your information with the judging panels and third parties whom Sponsor retains to assist in administering the Competition. If you do not agree to these terms or toSponsor’s privacy notice located at www.amazon.com/privacy, please do not post anEntry.

WINNER DETERMINATION

All submitted and verified Entries will be scored based on their total Amp show listenership throughout the Entry Period when the Entry was received. Listenership will be calculated by the total listener count attributed to a Participant/Team Amp profile during the applicable Entry Period. In the event a Participant/Team submits multiple Entries duringan Entry Period, the cumulative total listener count will be used. The three (3) Participants/Teamswith the highest score for each Entry Period (for a total of twelve (12) Participants/Teams throughout the Competition Period) will be deemed potential Grand Prizewinners, subject to verification and compliance with these Official Rules. In the event of a tie, the tie will be broken by a separate additional judge who will score the tied Entriessolely on “show originality and creativity”.In the event a potential winner’s Entryis disqualified, the Participant/Team who submitted the next highest rated Entrywill be selected as the potential winner for the applicable prize, and must comply with the requirements in these Official Rules. All decisions of the Sponsor and judges are final and binding.

PRIZES

GrandPrizes(12) (Three (3) awarded each Entry Period):A $2,500 scholarship, awarded in the form of a check, split evenly amongst each member of the winning Team (if applicable). Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each GrandPrize: $2,500.Limit of one (1) prize per Participant/Team throughout the Competition Period.The maximum total ARV for all prizes combined is $30,000.

PRIZE RECIPIENT NOTIFICATION.

Within five (5) businessdays following the JudgingPeriod, we will notify the potential prize recipients using the contact information submitted as part of the Entry. Each potential prize recipientwill be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release as requested by Sponsor (in its sole discretion). Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, require the potential prize recipients to sign such additional documentsSponsor decides are necessary to confirm eligibility and obtain a liability/publicity release. Failure to return any required document by the date requested by Sponsor will deem the applicable potential prize recipientas ineligible to move on to a runner-up. If any documentation is not returned by the specified dates or if a potential prize recipientis deemed ineligible prior to the prizebeing awarded, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, notify a runner-up. Potential prize recipients must contact Sponsor as requested within 48 hours, or we may notify a runner-up.Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize(or any portion thereof) with an item of comparable or greater value, in its sole discretion. All prizes will be awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION FOR ENTRANTS

The judging panels may request additional information from the Participants as may be necessary to judge the Entry, and the Participants must respond to any requests for additional information within two (2) business days from the time the request is made. Grand Prize winners may forfeit prizes or opportunities to proceed in the Competitionif (1) we are unable to contact themwithin two (2) business days of first attempted notification, or (2) the Participantfails to respond as required within two (2) business days of the date of notification. Potential GrandPrize winners will be required to provide any additional tax filing information (such as a W-9, social security number, Federal tax ID number, or W8-BEN) within three (3) calendar days following the date of first attempted notification. Failure to comply with these deadlines or with these Official Rules may result in forfeiture of place as a Finalist or Grand Prize winner.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Each winner agrees (for themselves or theirheirs) that, by accepting a prize, Competition Entities will have no liability, and will be held harmless by the winner for any liability, loss, injury or damage to property or person, including death, and reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize or participation in the Competition, even if caused or contributed to by the negligence of any of the Competition Entities. Competition Entities are also not responsible for any unauthorized third party use or dispute with respect to the Entry Materials (as defined below).

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

For the avoidance of doubt as between Sponsor and Participants/Teams, all Entriescreated by Participants/Teams will remain the property of the Participant/Team except to the extent a Participant/Team incorporated elements in their Entryowned by Sponsor, but Sponsor and its designees will have the rights to use the Entriesdescribed below. By submitting anEntryin this Competition, each Participant/Team warrantsand represents that he or she owns, or otherwise has the right to use, all of the intellectual and industrial property rights in and to the Entry. Further, each Participant/Team hereby grants Sponsor and its affiliates a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide,royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to (i) use, review, assess, test and otherwise analyze your Entryin connection with this Competition, and (ii) feature your Entryand all content contained therein in connection with the marketing or promotion of this Competition. Except where prohibited, each prize winner further consents (and agrees to sign any additional documents required by Sponsor to formalize, effect or perfect such consent) to CompetitionEntities’ use of Entriesas specified herein and the use of any Participant/Team names, likeness (photograph), biographical information, and voice in advertising/publicity/trade (including local and/or national television stations or print publications that may be covering any element of this Competition) worldwide without compensation, notice or approval, and prize winner disclaims any ownership rights to the content of such advertising/publicity/trade material.

USE OF ENTRY, PERSONAL DATA, WAIVER, RELEASE, AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

CompetitionEntities and their Personnel will not enter into any correspondence, including email, with non-winning Participants/Teams relating to such Participants’ participation in the Competition. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found tampering with the Entryprocess or Entrymaterials or otherwise interfering with the proper administration of the Competitionor violating these Official Rules.EACH PARTICIPANT ACCEPTS THE CONDITIONS STATED IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES, AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THE DECISIONS OF THE SPONSOR, WARRANTS THAT HE OR SHE IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS COMPETITION, AND AGREES TO RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS COMPETITIONENTITIES AND THE PERSONNEL OF EACH FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, LOSSES, LIABILITY, AND DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEYS’ FEES AND EXPENSES) ASSERTED AGAINST ANY OF THEM, INCURRED OR SUSTAINED IN CONNECTION WITH OR RISING OUT OF PARTICIPANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THIS COMPETITION, USE OF ANY ENTRYOR RIGHTS THEREIN OR ANY TRAVEL OR ACTIVITY RELATED THERETO, BREACH OF ANY AGREEMENT OR WARRANTY ASSOCIATED WITH THE COMPETITION, INCLUDING THESE OFFICIAL RULES. ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE COMPETITIONIS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE COMPETITIONENTITIES AND EACH OF THEIR LICENSEES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK ANY AND ALL REMEDIES AVAILABLE FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SUCH ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.Each Participant/Team hereby acknowledges and agrees that the relationship between themselves and the CompetitionEntities is not a confidential, fiduciary, or other special relationship, and that the Participant’s/Team’s decision to provide the Entryto Sponsor for purposes of the Competitiondoes not place the CompetitionEntities in a position that is any different from the position held by members of the general public with regard to elements of the Entry, other than as set forth in these Official Rules. Each Participant/Team understands and acknowledges that the CompetitionEntities have wide access to Entries, technology, designs, and other materials, and that new ideas are constantly being submitted to them or being developed by their own employees. Each Participant also acknowledges that many ideas may be competitive with, similar to, or identical to the Entryin theme, idea, format, or other respects. Each Participant/Team acknowledges and agrees that such Participant/Team will not be entitled to any compensation as a result of CompetitionEntities’ use of any such similar or identical material that has or may come to CompetitionEntities, or any of them, from other sources. Participants acknowledge that other Participants/Teams may have created ideas and concepts contained in their Entrydesign that may have familiarities or similarities to their Entrydesign, and that they will not be entitled to any compensation or right to negotiate with the CompetitionEntities because of these familiarities or similarities. Participants also acknowledge that the CompetitionEntities will not restrict work assignments or representatives who have had access to your Entries. By entering this Competition, Participants agree that use of information in the CompetitionEntities’ representatives’ unaided memories in the development or deployment of CompetitionEntities’ products orservices does not create liability for CompetitionEntities under these Official Rules or copyright or trade secret law.Participants/Teams further agree that the CompetitionEntities are not responsible for the following: (a) electronic transmissions, Entriesor notifications that are lost, late, stolen, incomplete, damaged, garbled, destroyed, misdirected or not received by Sponsor or their agents for any reason; (b) any problems or technical malfunctions, errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, delays in operation or transmission, communication failures and/or human error that may occur in the transmission, shipping errors or delays, receipt or processing of Entries or related materials; or for destruction of or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries or related material; (c) failed or unavailable hardware, network, software or telephone transmissions, damage to Participants’ or any person’s computer and/or its contents related to or resulting from participation in this Competition; (d) causes that jeopardize the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Competition; (e) any Entries posted in a manner that is not expressly allowed under these Official Rules (all such Entries will be disqualified); or (f) any printing errors in these Official Rules or in any advertisements or correspondence in connection with this Competition or judging. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Competitionshould virus, bugs, fraud, hacking, or other causes corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the Competition. In such cases, notice to this effect will be posted on the Competition Site and prizes to the extent prizes will be awarded as determined by Sponsor prior to cancellation. If, in Sponsor’s opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Competition or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Competition, the Sponsor reserves the right to void suspect Entries and/or terminate the Competition and award prizes in its sole discretion.

LIMITATION OF TECHNICAL LIABILITY

Competition Entities are not responsible for transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of Entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive Entry information by us on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. Competition Entities are not responsible for injury or damage to any Participant’s or any other computer resulting from downloading any materials in connection with the Competition.

RIGHT TO TERMINATE COMPETITION

We, in our sole discretion, reserve the right to terminate the Competitionin the event it does not receive a minimum of three (3) qualified Entriesfrom separate eligible Participants. And, if for any reason the Competitionis not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Competition, we may, in our sole discretion, change these Official Rules or cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Competition. If terminated, we may select the winners from all non-suspect, eligible Entriesreceived as of the termination date using the judging procedure outlined above. We may disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the Entryprocess or the operation of the Competitionor website; to be acting in violation of these Official Rules; or be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person and void all associated Entries.

No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prizes is permitted except by Sponsor due to prizeavailability and then with prizes of equal or greater value. Each participant agrees (for themselves and their heirs) that the CompetitionEntitieswill have no liability, and will be held harmless by such participant to the maximum extent permitted by law for any liability, loss, injury, or damage to property or to person, including death, and reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, due in wholeor in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of participation in the Competition, or by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize(including any travel/activity related thereto), even if caused or contributed to by the negligence of any of the CompetitionEntities. Competitionis governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Washington. As a condition of participating in this Competition, participants agree that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Competition, will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in King County, Washington having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (e.g. costs associated with participating), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased. Competitionis void where prohibited by law. Participants agree that the decisions of Sponsor and the judges related to the Competitionare final.

How do I enter this contest?
So you meet the requirements? Now it’s time to get ready to host your show. Follow these step by step instructions to enter:

1. Download the Amp app from the App store [link to app store]
2. Create your Amp account and profile [link to https://www.onamp.com/set-up-my-profile]
3. Host a 45-min or longer radio show during the contest entry period. Make sure #AUCAmp and #promotion are in your title to be entered.
4. Promote your show to drive tune-in. Share your show link directly to your social channels on the days prior and day of to have all your friends tune-in.

When is this contest running? When can I enter?
Hottest Mic on Campus will be live from October 21 through November 17, with 4 periods of entry:

Week 1: October 21, 2022 at 8AM ET to October 27, 2022 11:59PM ET
Week 2: October 28, 2022 at 8AM ET to November 3, 2022 11:59PM ET
Week 3: November 4, 2022 at 8AM ET to November 10, 2022 11:59PM ET
Week 4: November 11, 2022 at 8AM ET to November 17, 2022 11:59PM ET

How are winners selected?

When will winners be selected? How will I know I’ve won?
For each weekly entry period, 3 winners will be chosen based on listenership, for a total of 12 winners. Winners will be notified on the Monday following their entry period of their potential *win:

Week 1 - Monday, 10/31
Week 2 - Monday, 11/7
Week 3 - Monday, 11/14
Week 4 - Monday, 11/21

*The selected participants are considered “potential winners” until their submission is fully vetted on meeting eligibility requirements as well as completed the necessary forms shared via email. Failure to return any required document by the date requested will deem the submission disqualified.
What is the prize for Hottest Mic on Campus?
Winners will receive a cash prize of $2,500. Winners are eligible to enter each week of the contest, and can win multiple weeks for up to $10k in cash prizes.
