Answers to questions about the Amp Creator Fund
What is the Amp Creator Fund?
We’re launching the Creator Fund to support Amp’s community and foster their creativity by offering something in return for dedication to their craft. We’ll continue to explore further monetization opportunities for Amp creators — this is our first step in giving back. The Creator Fund supports creators big and small, regardless of background or experience level, for their hard work in creating engaging, entertaining content.

Each month, we’ll reach out to selected creators with reward amounts and instructions on how to claim. Rewards will generally be determined based on listener engagement and show performance metrics.

To be eligible for monthly rewards, all you need to do is start creating. No application is needed; any creator who meets the eligibility criteria has the opportunity to earn from the Creator Fund. Here are some best practices to help you get started.
Am I eligible to earn from the Amp Creator Fund?
Any creator who has hosted a show in the qualifying month and follows the criteria below is eligible to earn from Creator Fund. If you check these boxes, you’re eligible for monthly rewards:
  1. Your use of Amp must adhere to the Amp Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, and Music Guidelines.
  2. You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority where you reside) and have accepted the Amp Terms of Use. If you are between the ages of 13-18, then a parent or guardian must accept the Terms of Use and set up a payment account.
  3. You must be located in the United States.
  4. You must have a United States bank account.
  5. You must have an email address associated with your Amazon account.
  6. You cannot be an Amp employee or Amp contractor.
How will I know if I’ve earned a reward?
If you’ve earned from the Amp Creator Fund for shows that you created in a qualifying month, you’ll receive an email from the Amp team by the middle of the next month. For example, if you qualified in October, that means we’ll send you an email in November. This email will include your reward amount and information on how to enter your payment information.

If you didn’t earn rewards in a given month, don’t worry. We evaluate and reward creators on a monthly basis, so all creators get a fresh start each month. Similarly, earning rewards in one month doesn’t guarantee rewards for the next month. Keep an eye on your email for all the details!
When does the Creator Fund launch?
Our first qualifying month will be September 2022. The first email notifications about rewards are expected to go out by mid-October 2022.
How is my reward amount calculated?
Your reward amount is calculated based on the performance of your shows for a given qualifying month. Generally, we’ll be taking into account listener engagement and show performance metrics.
How do I claim my reward?
To claim your reward, make sure to set up payment information through the payment portal provided in the notification email we send you. All details about this portal will be linked in your notification email, and you’ll need your bank account and tax information handy.

Rewards will expire if you don’t submit your payment information! For example, if you receive a rewards email from us in October, you’ll need to complete your payment info by November 15 or the rewards will be forfeited. Don’t worry, setting up is easy. Follow these steps:
  1. Click on the secure payment portal link in your email.
  2. Log in with your Amp credentials. You may need to complete Two-Step Verification for additional security.
  3. Complete your profile, bank, and tax information.
  4. Confirm that all your information has been saved.
Once you have submitted the required information, you’re done! You don’t need to submit it again for future rewards. If your bank or tax information changes, make sure to update your payment portal information as soon as possible to ensure future rewards are paid correctly.
When will I receive my reward?
In general, if you have been notified by Amp that you are eligible to receive a reward, you can expect to receive a reward payment anywhere from 15-30 business days after you set up your payment information. If your payment information is already up-to-date, you can expect to be paid by the last day of the month in which you were notified that you earned a reward.

You will receive an email when your reward has been sent to your bank account. You can also find information on your reward payments by clicking the “[Invoices]” link in your payment portal.
What happens if I do not provide my bank and tax information?
If you do not provide complete and accurate bank and tax information by 11:59pm PT on the 15th day of the month after you were notified by email that you have earned a reward, you will forfeit the reward. For example, if you receive a reward email on July 8th, you have until August 15th to submit your payment information. This forfeiture date will be in all email notifications that we send to you. You are responsible for ensuring your bank and tax information are up-to-date at all times.

If your reward is forfeited for a given month, but you earn again the next month, you will have the opportunity to complete payment information for that new month. You will not be paid any previously forfeited rewards.
